It's already the beginning of May and I've got so much to do.... like update this site.
I took my first workshop this March with one of my sisters in SW Florida. We studied under Cat Tesla and I learned so much. My goal is to paint with less control of my strokes - stay tuned.n Our son is finishing his first year of law at Ole Miss and has summer jobs at the Capital in Mississippi, so excited for him. Our puppy turned 7 this April.... none of us want her to get older.
So excited to share that
I am a multimedia artist working primarily with acrylic s and oils on both canvas and wood frames. I have been blessed by having my works exhibited and purchased for personal collections in many cities across the country; Manhattan, Houston, Atlanta, Los Angeles, Charlotte, Dallas ,Santa Rosa Beach and many in between. In addition to these venues, I work directly with clients on commissioned pieces. I love art, being creative - trying things that are unique and original.
I have always had a creative, expressive flair about me. I was born on the Mississippi Gulf Coast and have lived in many cities/states; relocating for my husband's job. I've been in the Jackson, MS area for the past 11 years. I've painted in many forums over the years . It's been in the last 8, that I have been offering my pieces for purchase.
In addition to collectors, my works are represented in the following cities: Fresno, Los Angeles, Santa Rosa Beach, Rosemary Beach, Tampa, Atlanta, Charlotte, Huntsville, Birmingham, Point Clear, Biloxi, Bay St. Louis, Jackson, Madison, Oxford, Chattanooga, Memphis, Germantown, Franklin, Nashville, New Orleans, Baton Rouge, Monroe, Lake Charles, Lafayette, Dallas, Fort Worth, Houston, Oklahoma City and many others across the south east.
I traveled to Fort Worth, Houston and Austin for holiday market shows. We've done these shows/cities over the past several. years and so enjoy participating. All of you who stopped by our booth to share a story, add to your collection of my work and first time purchasers, thank you! You....make these shows so meaningful. I love meeting each of you. I appreciate your support and encourage you to follow me on instagram if you currently do not. @bjweeksart.
